About
I am Dr. Emin Bakan, a faculty member at Anadolu University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Cartoon and Animation.
My academic work and teaching focus on 3D modeling, procedural animation, and digital media arts, with a particular interest in how technology reshapes creative processes.
I work extensively with tools such as Houdini, Blender, ZBrush, TouchDesigner, Stable Diffusion, and Adobe software, integrating procedural workflows into both artistic production and research.
My projects span diverse fields—from medical animation and digital archaeology to game design and digital fabrication—bridging theory and practice in innovative ways.
Beyond academia, I explore the intersections of science fiction, philosophy, and art, drawing inspiration from writers like Kafka and Dostoyevsky, and thinkers such as Deleuze, Spinoza, and Heidegger.
These perspectives inform not only my research but also my approach to storytelling and visual design.
At the core of my work lies a vision: to develop new creative methodologies that merge art, science, and technology, fostering a deeper understanding of digital aesthetics and the evolving role of the artist in the age of artificial intelligence.
